Arch Culvert Flat Bush
Project
This is a primary route servicing several hundred lots in a large residential subdivision in Flat Bush. An Arch culvert was selected instead of box culvert to preserve stream ecology, and prevented the expense associated with a conventional bridge.
Lander Geotechnical Involvement
Lander Geotechnical undertook site specific investigations, slope stability and settlement analyses and designed the Terramesh Green (marketed by Geo-Fabrics NZ Limited) approach embankments and foundations for the Arch Culvert. We also oversaw the construction, conducted geotechnical compliance testing and prepared the Producer Statement Construction Review (PS4).
We are currently underway with the design of a second (larger) arch culvert in the same subdivision.
